Quick Six with Linda Wisdom
Please welcome Linda Wisdom to the Quick Six this week
And check out that fabulous book cover! I can’t wait to read Hex in High Heels – I’m always a fan of witch stories and this one looks great. Want a chance to read it yourself? Check out the interview, then answer Linda’s question to you in the comments section and she’ll draw one name to win their very own copy!
Plotter or Pantzer? Pantzer. There’s many times when even I’m surprised with what comes up in my writing when I just let go. Trust me, I’ve been very surprised sometimes. It’s just a lot more fun that way.
Scary movies or romantic comedies? I can’t have both? I love movies that will scare the crap out of me and leaves me wanting to keep the lights on all night. I own a lot of horror movies DVDs and not all of them are the gore and splatter but the mind freaking type that’s even scarier because you don’t always know just who the monster is until it’s too late.
Daytime or nighttime? Nighttime. You never know just what you might find in the dark. I’ve had some freaky experiences in my life and they’ve all happened at night.Vanilla or chocolate? Chocolate! It’s the little black dress in food groups. It goes with everything and how can you go wrong with something that tastes so sinful?
Candles or Incense? Candles. I love to mix scents that go well together and enjoy the warm light. I have candles all over the house in a variety of holders.
Fact or Fiction? Fact because a lot of times it’s a lot stranger than fiction. I love searching out odd news stories or true stories where you scratch your head and mutter ‘you have got to be kidding me!’ It’s also nudged my brain in some very demented directions.
My turn!
Winter or summer?

Definitely summer! I HATE cold weather!
Summer for me. I can’t stand to be cold.
I’m glad to see you agree with me, ladies. Gotta have that sun!
Winter! I can bundle up, but there are only so many layers you can take off
.Ok, so living in San Diego means we really don’t have much beyond summer- which is probably why I LOVE having anything that isn’t hot! LOL- great interview Linda!
Winter because the nights are longer and there’s more snuggling and hot chocolate! Yum!
Fun interview Linda!
Lisa
LOL Marie and Lisa! True, we sometimes have milder winters, but I hate all the rain when we get it out here.
Welcome to the blog, Linda
I seriously love your cover and this book sounds so fun
Now I have to admit, I’d have a hard time choosing between summer and winter. I love the warmth and free feeling of summer, but I love the hunker in by the fire and contemplate feeling of winter. My fave holidays are in the winter but my fave relaxing activities are in the summer. See… I’m conflicted!!!
Hex in High Heels love the cover have to get this book and read it it sounds interesting
have a nice week
Thanks Rhonda! I hope you’ll visit my website then to see the series covers. I love writing these books.
Loved loved loved this book! Do not need to enter me, I already have a copy! Enjoyed the interview!!!
I love you Colleen! I’m glad you enjoyed Blair’s story.
I prefer summer over winter and that’s because I don’t like ice and have to shovel the snow.
I lived in Boston for 2 years when husband was in the Coast Guard. I hated snow and ice. At least out here I can visit the snow during the winter and then leave it.
Thanks for having me Tawny! That is true. The idea of curling up with a warm throw, a fire crackling, a glass of wine, and a good book is always nice. Although my dog will take the throw. :} Living in So. Calif means more summer weather than winter.
Great interview!
Got to say though, my favorite times are the transitions between summer and winter, especially the fall.
Fall is pretty, Pam if you have all the colors around you.
I’ve got to go with summer, even though I don’t like the heat, it’s hard to use a walker in the snow and ice. I love witch stories so I can’t wait to read your witch stories.
Hey Linda! Hm, can’t you see someone putting short skis on a walker? But yes, better with summer and all that nice sun. I do love my witches. I’ve been told they’re too much like me, so I’m never sure if that’s a good thing. :}
Summer, for sure. Of course, there’s no real winter here, just the rainy season. Yes, I want rain so that there won’t be a drought, but the mold from all that moisture – ugh.
So. Calif can get a lot of rain at times. It sounds like you live in Oregon. Plus nothing worse than my dog with muddy paws racing through the house.
Great interview, Linda!
As for your question — Summer! Green leaves, bright sun, warm breeze…fresh picked tomatoes from my garden. Sigh. Now I’m missing my garden and I have to wait until May to plant again. Bummer. LOL
Lynda! You’ve got a year to wait unless you move Down Under.
hi linda, still trying to win one of your books
coz i haven’t had any of them (yet).
i choose Winter, i love to curling up with a good book and warm chocolate milk..yummy !!
Hi Mariska, I’d say you have a good idea on how to enjoy winter.
I actually love the winter. Because the bad weather is an excuse to stay inside. With a cup of tea and a good romance novel. To wear a large comfy sweater and bake cookies. I also LOVE Christmas when the family gets together.
Kirsten, I can usually find an easy excuse to stay in.
I majored in Fashion Merchandising but then realized my passion is in the written word (meaning romance novels), so I’m thinking about majoring in journalism but then heard a journalism degree doesn’t help much in writig a book so I think I’ll just take some classes. I definetly prefer winter! I run hot in body temp, I definetly prefer to add on a pile of clothes rather than walk around almost naked in a bathing suit in 110 degree heat.
That was me, Megan. I majored in fashion merchandising after my journalism advisor told me I had no future in fiction writing. Look into creative writing courses and check out Romance Writers of America. A great organization! Right now, I’m enjoying colder weather since I’m bored with my summer clothes.
And I love winter because the holidays are so festive and joyous!!
True! All the color and energy comes during the winter holidays.
