My Week… Chilling

Oh, what a week!  Revisions are once again my friend.  I finally figured out the key to make Wild Thing click, and then my brilliant editor added the final touch of Aha, and voila, unblocked writing!  Now that I’ve got the direction for this story, I’m having fun writing again. The character I love most in this story?  Medusa, hands down.  Sassy, saucy and just a leeeetle naughty.

Other than revisions, I’m starting to gear up the promo plans for my Undercover Operations series that debuts in December with SEX, LIES & MISTLETOE.  One of the things I’m doing is revamping and amping up the Members Only section of the website.  To start, it needs a catchier title.  So far, Tawny’s Reader Love-Fest, aka Reader Love is topping the title list.  What do you think?  Any other ideas that might be fun?

Other than writing fun this week, I will admit, I spent way too much time cruising the web to find out when the new iPhone 5 will  be released. I’m obsessed with the cloud technology and have been jonesing for the 5 since early summer when my dad and I started discussing the merits.  Rumor is still early October for the release!  In other tech fun, after my computer meltdown last month I decided that an external hard drive for docs and photos, and a thumb drive for current manuscripts wasn’t enough.  So I hooked up with Carbonite, an online backup system.  I got a 15 day free trial by signing up.  It took 14 of those days to backup my computer!  Methinks I have a lot of crap.

In puppy news, Betsey and Tinkerbell are now friends!  YAY, they are doing a great job of wearing each other out.  Well, they and the fact that Betsey is a big fan of the trampoline.  Gotta love it.  And I finally got all of my scrapbook ‘stuff’ moved into the spare room and my crafting area set up, so I’m working on a recipe box for my oldest daughter.  I’ll share a picture when I’m finished.  But for now, here’s a photo of Betsey and her new favorite toy -the mini-tramp, and another of her that is just so darned cute I couldn’t resist showing it off.

So how was your week?

  1. So far, so good! I love the “Reader Love” idea. And I absolutely ADORE the pix of Betsey. She’s just darling. :>
